The immediate goals of this organization will be:

  • Demand private contracting between physicians and their patients. We must not allow our government to socialize.
  • Create a collective bargaining entity for physicians and challenge existing laws that prevent physicians from organizing.
  • Work directly with our legislators to educate them on the importance of free enterprise amongst physicians.
  • Move physicians towards a model much like the Dentists. We have seriously underestimated our ability to charge patients for our services.
  • Prevent Medicare penalties imposed on physicians. We have businesses to run and we must not permit Medicare and Heathcare insurers to erode our income and independence.
  • To ensure confidentiality of Individual Physician Medicare Data.
  • Allow Physicians to code using either ICD-9 or ICD-10
  • Remove Maintenance of Certification
  • Create a New RUC which can petition Medicare with a fee schedule just like the AMA.
  • Increasing bureaucracy and control over our medical practices is plaguing our profession,
  • Our profession is being converted from the most revered and respected by society, to one where we are nothing more than an employee/provider of medical services, not independent professionals.
  • For those in private practice, both state and federal legislatures have every intention of reducing our reimbursement, and increasing our administrative burdens so they can increase control over our profession, our patients and our ability to deliver care in the way we see fit.
  • The ACA is restricting the access to patients to their physicians. Insurance companies are dropping hospitals and physician groups from networks in order to lower costs, preventing patients from local care.
  • We are a new organization which represents practicing physicians with the goal of protecting our ability the practice medicine in the best interest of our patients.
  • Obamacare, ( ACA), could effectively destroy the best healthcare system in the world which was built by physician's, who at one time were the "commanders" of health care delivery.
  • Private practice has been the cornerstone of effective and efficient care of patients. While physicians are being blamed for the high cost or health care and are the target for cost cutting measures, Physician payment represents less than 20% of the heath care budget.
  • Physicians must mount the fight of our careers and out lives.
  • Physicians-Unite does NOT support Obamacare. This is the biggest Healthcare boondoggle in History.
  • The Government and insurance companies have hijacked the healthcare system and they have taken over our profession. We are on the road to becoming no more than PUBLIC Employees.
  • Physicians have failed as businessmen. The business of medicine is dictated by Health Insurers. WHY? Because we have seriously failed to negotiate contracts which limit the ability of insurers to control our patients and our practice.
  • In order to reduce health care costs, physicians should have control over the delivery of healthcare services and be compensated more, not less. We are the smallest part of the healthcare budget, yet we can have the greatest impact on the cost and care of patients. As physicians, we should have the greatest voice in the care of our patients.
  • Why should we be forced to convert to ICD-10 so we can provide the government and insurance companies with the very data they will use against us to lower our fees and control our delivery of care. What industry, other than the medical profession, allows themselves to be subject to these regulations and do it at their cost.
  • WE NEED TO BE PAID EXTRA AND GET HIGHER FEES IF THE GOVERNMENT WANTS THIS LEVEL OF INFORMATION which they are using for their purposes not ours.
  • This organization must accomplish what other medical organizations have failed to accomplish, that is to protect physician directed medicine and protect the value of the services that we provide.
  • The time has come for an organization which represents physicians to take legal action and induce political change. This can only be done with support of like-minded physicians.
